Guy Browning was interviewed about the Husband Obedience Trials earlier this week in a radio interview that was broadcast on BBC Oxford's Breakfast Show this morning. You can listen to the interview on the BBC's Listen Again service by clicking here - the interview starts 13 minutes and 25 seconds into the programme. Further outbreaks of Swine Flu notwithstanding, if you tune in to the half past six television news on BBC One you might even be able to catch a few shots of the village too! |

We have just had a big injection of funding from a fantastic investor. He is Sir Peter Vardy who is an extremely successful business man, a noted philanthropist and a thoroughly decent all-round bloke. (He was a thoroughly decent all-round bloke before he gave us money as well). Sir Peter didn't get where he is today by making poor investment decisions so it's a great vote of confidence in our whole project to have him on board. His timely and most generous support means that we are well on our way to fully funding our film. We can't afford to relax yet, but things are looking increasingly rosy. Thank you very much Sir Peter!! |

Greene King sponsor The Husband Obedience Trials |

In a world where people’s social lives seem to be organised by Facebook and the latest friendship gossip is circulated on MySpace, there is still a place for the good old British pub. The residents of Kingston Bapuize and Southmoor have long supported their local Greene King pub The Waggon and Horses and now Greene King Pub Partners are supporting them by sponsoring the making of The Husband Obedience Trials. We couldn't be more delighted.
Greene King has operated pubs and brewing for over 200 years. Combining successful traditional ale brands with modern forward thinking, Greene King has grown steadily from its base in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk to become a leading pub retailer and brewer and now the sponsor of a feel good British romantic comedy.
Guy Browning said: "We are thrilled that Greene King are sponsoring the making of this film. There are many scenes set inside our very own local, The Waggon and Horses and the film is very much about the social power of a pub, in fact the whole concept of our village making a film was originally hatched in the beer garden over a couple of pints of Greene King ale."
David Elliott, Managing Director of Greene King’s leased and tenanted pub division said: "We are delighted to support this venture which epitomizes what we believe, that the pub is still an essential part of everyday life, providing a vital social lifeline and the heart of a community."
Greene King will benefit from inclusion in all PR activity including national media coverage, acknowledgement in the credits, logos and links on our website, seats at the premiere for them and their top clients and product placement within the film. |

Swine Flu Delays Broadcast |

Due to the suspected outbreak of Swine Flu in Wiltshire last night BBC Oxford did not have time to feature their interview with Guy Browning on the South Today programme. Both the TV and radio interview will feature later on this week. As soon as we have definite dates and times we will post them here. We will also post links to BBC iplayer here so you can listen at your leisure. |
