Writer and director Guy Browning and many of the villagers involved in the production were featured throughout the day on BBC Oxford television news on Monday 22nd June. The camera crew, who visited during the first day of production on Sunday 21st, captured entertaining footage of actors trying on their pantomime horse costumes as well as the busy preparations at Kingston Bagpuize House.

Keeping the Camera Crew Happy PDF Print E-mail

As well as a fantastic village we have a superb professional crew on The Husband Obedience Trials, not least Director Of Photography Balazs Bolygo who has worked extensively on the BBC’s Larkrise To Candleford series, Life on Mars and Hustle to name but a few. These talented individuals, who will be responsible for the look and feel of our film, come with masses of state of the art equipment.

We need to be able to transport them and their kit efficiently and safely and a special type of van is required to do this. Size matters as it's particularly important the crew have enough room to move inside the van and prepare kit.

News of the making of the film has started to travel beyond not only the village but also the county and we were contacted by a Midlands based company called Fawsley.

Fawsley specialise in building beautifully hand-crafted garden rooms, conservatories and orangeries that would grace the grandest of homes and already have several clients in the area around the village! They had read about our venture in the Birmingham Post and wanted to know if there was any way they could help …..”Don’t suppose you could sponsor us to the tune of a Luton van for six weeks?” we said ….

“We are sponsoring this venture because we are keen to help the team make a success of this film; this contribution takes away a headache and allows them to focus on the ‘Husband’ in hand!” said Paul Martin MD of Fawsley.

Producer Steffan Aquarone said: "Fawsley have given us a fantastic van to use for the shoot and we're extremely grateful for their support. It's great that companies near where the production company are based are prepared to rally round and support us too.”

Fawsley can be contacted on 024 7666 9166 or at www.fawsley.com. Or why not download their brochure to see if you recognise any of the properties in it!
